Jessica

Jessica is an editor for Mother Earth Living and its sister publications: Heirloom Gardener, Grit, Mother Earth News, and Cappers Farmer.

After graduating in 2017 with dual degrees in journalism and theatre from Susquehanna University, Jessica joined Ogden Publications’ editorial team. She moved from her lifelong home in Pennsylvania to Kansas, and quickly fell in love with the community, small towns, and open skies — though she does miss the rugged Pennsylvania mountains.

Jessica gets to follow her love for communications everyday by working as an editor for impactful magazines. Besides working on articles, she also helps edit the Mother Earth News & Friends podcasts, tends to the company’s growing backyard garden, and helps organize Facebook live videos – many times jumping in front of the camera with her coworkers.

Outside of editing, Jessica continues to adjust to Kansas life. Her lifelong love for nature keeps her exploring and journaling outdoors, and her lifelong love for books keeps her stuck between bookshelves in her town’s stores and libraries. She’s also slowly developing her green thumb by growing a little apartment container garden.

You can find Jessica on InstagramLinkedIn, and follow her adventures through her nature and art blog, Fluttering Pages.
